"Are there any age restrictions to receive certification?"

There is no minimum age requirement for our provided classes. This being said, the participants are required to demonstrate proficiency performing the skills portion in order to pass - Chest compressions, back blows and choking for example.

Typically, most mature youth who are at least 12 years old can handle it.  However, there are young kids who may be 10 or 11 and more mature than some who are older.

There is a Under 18 Year Old waiver that is required for any participants under 18 years of age.

If you have questions about your child's ability to perform the skills, please contact us to discuss!

A Blended Learning (BL) class gives students the ability to complete a large portion of the training online, at their own pace, then attend an in-person skills session.  The online portion can range from 30 minutes to two hours depending on technology limitations and familiarity with the skills. The in-person session is typically between two and three hours in duration; this is largely dependent on the number of students per class.

"How long are certifications valid?"

Red Cross certifications are valid for two years from the date of your training.  All certificates are received digitally and sent to your email within one business day after the successful completion of class.

If you lost your certificate, you can find it online on the American Red Cross website.
