The Adult only First Aid, CPR/AED class focuses on skills helping adults.

The purpose of the course if to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. This will prepare you for caring for a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive to take over.

This class is a Blended Learning Class (Hybrid) which gives students the ability to do the conceptual or knowledge based training online, then attend an in-person skills session to receive hands on practice and live feedback.

The online portion of this class can range from 45 minutes to 2 hours long depending on technology limitations and familiarity with the skills. Participants will receive a link via email after booking a class.  The link takes the participants to the American Red Cross Learning Center. The online portion must be completed before attending the scheduled in-person session. 

The in-person skills session typically lasts 2.5 to 3 hours. In this portion we review:

• Adult First Aid, CPR and AED

• Adult Choking relief

• First Aid for a victim experiencing life threatening bleeding.

Participants who successfully complete the online and in-person portions will receive an American Red Cross Certification in Adult First Aid, CPR/AED.  Certificates are valid for two years and will be issued in about one business day after the in-person class. Certificates will be delivered via email and can be found on the American Red Cross website.

This class is an American Red Cross Class.

• Marine Workers & Boat Captains

• And anyone needing a basic First Aid, CPR/AED certification.
