Class Description
The Adult & Pediatric First Aid, CPR/AED class focuses on skills helping adults , children and infants.

The purpose of the course if to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. This will prepare you for caring for a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive to take over.

This class is a Blended Learning Class which gives students the ability to do the conceptual training online, then attend an in-person skills session to receive hands on practice and live feedback.

Online Portion
The online portion of this class can range from 45 minutes to 2 hours long depending on technology limitations and familiarity with the skills. Participants will receive a link via email after booking a class. The link takes the participants to the American Red Cross Learning Center. The online portion must be completed before attending the scheduled in-person session.

In-Person Instructor Led Portion
The in-person skills session typically lasts 2.5 to 3 hours. In this portion we review:

Adult First Aid, CPR and AED

Pediatric First Aid, CPR and AED
-
All Ages Choking Relief
-
First Aid for a victim experiencing life threatening bleeding.

Certificates
Participants who successfully complete the online and in-person portions will receive an American Red Cross Certification in Adult & Pediatric First Aid, CPR/AED. Certificates are valid for two years and will be issued in about one business day after the in-person class. Certificates will be delivered via email and can be found on the American Red Cross website.
